Greater Tokyo City
Greater Tokyo metropolitan area has a population approaching 30 million people, almost as many people as all of Canada. There are many cities within Tokyo city (yes, cities within cities) and in the area surrounding Tokyo city. The EFC of Japan has 29 churches in this megalopolis. The EFC of Canada Mission partners in the Tokyo area with EFC of Japan churches which would like to start new churches. Currently EFCCM personnel are helping to lead such a church planting project at Tomioka City in Gunma Prefecture, 90 minutes north of central Tokyo, with the possibility on the horizon of another church planting project about 30 minutes northwest of central Tokyo.
