Anna and Kristy together taught a total of about 20 classes each week at the following four EFC of Japan churches: Nagoya, Nagoya Nishi (West), Nagoya Minami (South), and Kasugai. In addition to English conversation, they also taught the approximately 15 minute chapel or Bible time in each class.

John and Evelyn taught about fifteen classes at five EFC of Japan churches in the Nagoya area (Nagoya, Nagoya West, Nagoya South, Kasugai, and Oharu). They were the first of our English teachers to live on their own in an apartment.

Laura taught ten classes each week in three EFC of Japan churches in the Nagoya area (Nagoya, Nagoya West, and Nagoya South). Each of the classes was about an hour long. She enjoyed her homestay situation.

I am originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I have been a born again believer for the last twelve years and my home church is Monterey Park EFC in Calgary. I have been serving in my home church as a Sunday School teacher and helping out with the youth group for the last several years. At my university I was a Bible study leader with Campus Crusade for Christ. I had been praying about going on a short term mission trip since attending a youth conference in Edmonton, Alberta in May 2003. Then the opportunity came in June 2004 when I was translating some newsletters for my mom and I read that Japan needed some English teachers. Since applying I have learned a great deal. I know that I would recommend this short term ministry for anyone who has a heart to serve.
